Membership Rewards® Pay with Points

To use Pay with Points, you must charge your eligible purchase through American Express Travel to a Membership Rewards® program-enrolled American Express® Card. Eligible purchases through American Express Travel exclude car reservations and non-prepaid hotels. Points will be debited from your Membership Rewards account, and credit for corresponding dollar amount will be issued to the American Express Card account used. If points redeemed do not cover entire amount, the balance of purchase price will remain on the American Express Card account. Minimum redemption 1,000 points.

The Hotel Collection Terms and Conditions

Valid only for new bookings at participating hotels in The Hotel Collection program for accommodation of at least two consecutive nights, booked through American Express Travel. Payment must be made with a Swedish American Express Goldcard. In order to receive the specified benefits, cardmembers must travel according to the booked timetable. The cardmember receives a credit at check-out of USD 1 for each dollar spent or the equivalent amount in local currency. The maximum amount is up to USD 100 based on purchases at the hotel, excluding taxes, gratuities, fees and room costs. Additional exceptions and restrictions may apply to certain hotels (restrictions apply to purchases made at the hotel from proprietors that are affiliated with or owned by third parties) - please contact the hotel reception for details. The credit cannot be exchanged for cash, cannot be transferred to another booking and is only valid once per room and booked stay. Your card will be credited in USD or equivalent local currency based on the exchange rate on the day of arrival. This cannot be combined with other offers. Room upgrade is based on availability upon check-in. The cardmember can book a maximum of three rooms per booking. Staying at the same hotel with a 24-hour break is considered one booking. Participating hotels and the benefits of The Hotel Collection program are subject to change without notice. Some hotels in The Hotel Collection are not included in the benefits program.

Fine Hotels + Resorts Terms and Conditions

Fine Hotels + Resorts is only valid for Platinum/Centurion members and may only be booked online by the main cardmember. Benefits only apply to new Fine Hotels + Resorts reservations made via American Express Travel. Payment must be made with your Platinum/Centurion Card.

The stay must be booked in advance for the benefits to apply. Early check-in at 12.00 and room upgrades are subject to availability upon check-in. Some room categories are not available for upgrade. Call Platinum Travel or Centurion Travel for further information. Breakfast varies among the hotels, but will always be at least a continental breakfast. In-room WiFi is included free of charge, with the exception of Explora Patagonia, where in-room WiFi is not available. WiFi is provided free of charge in a common area of the hotel here instead. In cases where hotels include the cost of WiFi in a mandatory resort fee, the cardmember will receive a daily credit from the hotel corresponding to the standard fee the hotel charges for WiFi. The credit will be made to the cardmember’s bill at check-out.

Benefits and rules pertaining to benefits vary between the hotels in  Fine Hotels + Resorts and cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be combined with other offers unless otherwise stated.

We recommend booking well in advance for services such as spa treatments, meals or golf if you would like to enjoy hotel-specific extra Platinum/Centurion benefits. Benefits and additional  Fine Hotels + Resorts offers take effect at check-in and expire upon check-out. The offer is limited to one benefits package per room and per stay. The maximum number of rooms you can book per stay is three. Consecutive stays are considered one stay if you return to the same hotel within 24 hours. Participating facilities in Fine Hotels + Resorts as well as benefits are subject to change.

The Centurion® Lounge

Platinum Card Members have unlimited complimentary access to The Centurion Lounge locations. Gold Card and Green Card Additional Cards on your Account are not eligible for unlimited complimentary access. Platinum Card Members may bring up to two (2) companions into The Centurion Lounge. To access The Centurion Lounge, the Platinum Card Member must present The Centurion Lounge agent with the following upon each visit: his or her valid Card and upon request, same-day airline ticket on any carrier and a government-issued I.D. Failure to present this documentation may result in access being denied. Platinum Card Members will not be compensated for changes in locations, rates or policies. Platinum Card Member must be at least 18 years of age to enter without a parent or guardian. Platinum Card Member must be 21 years of age to enter a lounge with a self-service bar, unless you are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Platinum Card Members are allowed access to The Centurion Lounge in all U.S. locations. American Express reserves the right to remove any person from a lounge for inappropriate behaviour or failure to adhere to lounge rules, including, but not limited to, conduct that is disruptive, abusive or violent. Access is subject to space availability. The Centurion Lounge hours may vary by location and are subject to change. Amenities may vary among The Centurion Lounge locations and are subject to change. In-lounge services and amenities are complimentary, however you are responsible for any purchases and/or servicing charges you authorise our Member Services Professionals to perform on your behalf. Some American Express® Cards are not eligible for all services provided by Member Services Desk. American Express will not be liable for any articles lost or stolen or damages suffered by the purchaser or visitor inside The Centurion Lounge. Delta Sky Club

The Platinum Card Member must present his or her valid American Express Platinum Card, government-issued I.D., and same-day corresponding airline ticket to club ambassador. Access to Delta Sky Club partner lounges is not permitted. Individuals must be at least 18 years of age to access Delta Sky Club, and 21 years of age to access locations with a self-service bar, unless accompanied by a responsible, supervising adult who has access to the lounge. Platinum Card Members must adhere to all House Rules of participating clubs. Participating airport clubs and locations subject to change without notice. Plaza Premium Airport Lounges

Platinum Card Members (and supplementary Platinum Card Members) are entitled to complimentary access to the Plaza Premium Lounges. The Platinum Card Member may bring up to 1 guest into the lounge at no additional cost. All lounge access fees for additional guest visits will be charged directly to the Platinum Card Member’s Card, and at the prevailing retail rate, per person, per visit. Lounge access to infants under two years of age is complimentary. To access the Plaza Premium Lounges, the Platinum Card Member must present the agent with the following upon each visit: his or her valid Card and upon request, same-day or following day boarding pass on any carrier and a government-issued I.D. Failure to present this documentation may result in access being denied. Platinum Card Member must be at least 18 years of age to enter without a parent or guardian where there is a self-service bar. Plaza Premium Lounge reserves the right to remove any person from a lounge for inappropriate behaviour or failure to adhere to lounge rules, including, but not limited to, conduct that is disruptive, abusive or violent. Priority Pass™

These terms and conditions govern Platinum Card Members’ participation in and use of the Priority Pass™ program. Priority Pass is an independent airport lounge access program. At any visit to a Priority Pass lounge, you may bring in one guest at no charge. You will be charged US$32/£19/€28 for any additional guests. By enrolling in Priority Pass, you agree that you will be responsible for any additional accompanying guest visits and that your Card will be automatically charged after you have signed for the additional guest visit and it has been reported to Priority Pass by the participating lounge. Additionally, you acknowledge and agree that American Express will verify your Card account number and provide updated Card account information to Priority Pass. Priority Pass will use this information to fulfil on the Priority Pass program and may use this information for communications related to the program. Both the Primary and Supplementary Platinum Card Member must enrol into Priority Pass. Once enrolled, Platinum Card Members in good standing may access participating Priority Pass lounges by presenting your Priority Pass card and airline boarding pass. In some lounges, Priority Pass member must be 21 years of age to enter without a parent or guardian. Priority Pass members must adhere to all house rules of participating lounges. Amenities may vary among airport lounge locations. Conference rooms, where available, may be reserved for a nominal fee. Priority Pass lounge partners and locations are subject to change. All Priority Pass members must adhere to the Priority Pass Conditions of Use, which will be sent to you with your membership package, and can be viewed at prioritypass.com Upon receipt of your enrolment information, Priority Pass will send your Priority Pass card and membership package which you should receive within 4-6 weeks.

International Airline Programme (IAP) Terms and Conditions

1. American Express reserves the rights to change these conditions from time to time with 21 days prior notice and/or to discontinue the whole programme.

2. Airlines reserve the right to change, cancel or restrict flight operations without notice. IAP upgrades or specially negotiated fares may be limited by airlines to certain flights and/or dates (“blackouts”). IAP is subject to the terms and conditions of each participating carrier. American Express does not guarantee  that seats or tickets will be available.

3. To qualify for the IAP upgrades or specially negotiated fares:

• Your journey must start and end at the same port as designated by the participating airline and be completed within the period during which your selected carrier participates in the programme. You will be advised of any applicable dates at the time of booking;

• IAP tickets must be purchased through the Platinum Travel Service and must be charged to a valid American Express Platinum Card which is in good standing;

• The Platinum Cardmember who purchases the ticket(s) must be one of the travellers;

• IAP tickets are non-transferable and non-endorsable.

4. Any travel on non-participating airlines must be ticketed and paid for separately and is not part of the IAP. Certain code share or flights on the worldwide partners of the participating airlines may not apply.

5. Certain IAP airlines or non-participating airlines impose restrictions such as ticketing time limit on advance booking to indicate a timeline for ticketing upon making your reservations. For each individual airline Terms & Conditions, please check with the Platinum Travel Service for details.

6. IAP upgrade offer or specially negotiated fares is not valid and may not be combined with any promotion, discount, negotiated or corporate rate.

7. American Express acts only as an agent for travel service providers and does not own or operate any airline or means of transportation. American Express is not liable for service deficiencies on the part of airlines or other service providers, including but not limited to: accidents and injuries; delays; changes in routes or itineraries; loss, theft or damages to possessions. American Express strongly advises travellers to insure themselves against travel risks. Travellers are responsible for ensuring that they have valid documentation and for complying with the health, customs, currency and other laws of any country they enter or attempt to enter.

8. IAP is available to Platinum Cardmembers from a variety of participating airlines each with specifically designated ports of departure and arrival. Please refer to the Platinum Travel Service for details of participating airlines, applicable routing and timetables and fares in force at any particular time.
